The China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (ChinaLux) hosted its Welcome Back Members Cocktail on Monday 15 September 2025 at Arendt & Medernach in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
The event marked a transition into a new season, providing members with an opportunity to reconnect, exchange insights and look ahead to the coming months. It also served to introduce ChinaLux's newest corporate members.
Speaking to Chronicle.lu, ChinaLux President Jacques Bortuzzo said: "The Chinese Chamber needs to grow and we need to attract new members from different industries [and] sectors, so that the networking - that usually happens after the presentations or speeches [at events] - becomes more interesting for everyone. We don't want to grow too fast; if you grow too fast, you can't really 'satisfy' everyone. So, we want to have very healthy growth".
He noted that ChinaLux currently counts over 150 members, with seven new corporate members introduced at Monday's evening event. "I think if you have 158 members, you introduce seven new corporate members, it's a very healthy growth," he said.
Mr Bortuzzo added that the chamber plans to continue holding one event per month. "We think that more is not necessary at this point in time," he explained. "If you do less, given that people travel or might be sick one or the other day, they might only [attend] five or six events per year, which is not enough. So, we really try to stick to one event per month. That's how we want to grow."
