The Association of British and Irish Accountants in Luxembourg (ABIAL) has announced that it will hold a seminar on the new IFRS 18 financial reporting standard at the PwC offices in Luxembourg-Gasperich on Tuesday 27 October 2026.
Entitled "IFRS 18: The New Reporting Standard - Key Practical Insights", the event will address the practical implementation of the new standard for companies, including preparations, changes to systems and processes and the new format of financial reporting.
The programme will cover the objectives of IFRS 18 and its adoption in the European Union (EU), as well as changes affecting Luxembourg entities. Topics will include the redesigned profit and loss statement, data and processes, disclosures, internal controls and Management Performance Measures (MPMs).
The speakers will also discuss how IFRS 18 will affect different sectors and share findings and lessons from implementation projects to date.
The seminar will feature Philippe Förster, Partner and Leader of PwC Corporate Reporting Services, and Anca Mandru Brunet, Senior Manager in PwC Corporate Reporting Services - Accounting Advisory Services.
Registration will begin at 18:00, followed by the presentations and a Q&A session from 18:30. Drinks and snacks will follow at 19:30.
