The Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck (CAPE) has announced that Shelley - Radically Romantic, written and performed by Laure Schreiner, will be staged at its premises in Ettelbruck on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October 2026 at 19:30.
The theatre production explores the life and work of British author Mary Shelley, whose life was marked by love, loss and her struggle to establish her voice in a literary world dominated by male writers.
Best known as the author of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley became one of the most influential female writers of her time. The production presents her life through the context of Romanticism and explores the woman behind both the novel and the literary legacy that followed.
It pays tribute to Mary Shelley as a pioneering author and examines her experiences, creativity and lasting influence on subsequent generations of female writers, noted the CAPE.
The performances, performed in English, will last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, without an interval. Tickets cost €21 at the standard rate, €10.50 for young people and €1.50 with a Kulturpass.
