On Wednesday 20 May 2026, Wolt Luxembourg announced its expansion to Echternach and the Moselle region.
Wolt, the technology company operating a local commerce and delivery platform, said it is expanding into eastern Luxembourg, with deliveries now available in Echternach, Grevenmacher, Wasserbillig and Mertert. With this addition, Wolt stated that it now covers 95% of the country's population.
The company already operates in the capital area, Esch-sur-Alzette and surrounding municipalities, Mersch, Diekirch, Ettelbruck and neighbouring towns, as well as Remich, Mondorf-les-Bains and Wiltz. The latest expansion adds several towns in the east of the country, where residents can now order from restaurants and local shops via the platform.
According to Wolt, the expansion brings the number of restaurants and retail partners available through its Luxembourg platform to around 900, ranging from local eateries to international brands and speciality stores.
"This expansion marks an important step in our mission to bring Wolt to communities across all of Luxembourg," said Tomás Etcheverry, General Manager of Wolt Luxembourg. He added that the company aimed to connect more customers with local businesses while creating additional earning opportunities for courier partners and merchants in the region.
Wolt also said local businesses in the region could benefit from increased visibility and access to a wider digital customer base.
The service officially launched on Tuesday 12 May 2026, with 25 local venues available on the app from the first day.
