The 2026 edition of Luxembourg’s Journée de l’Économie (JEcolux 2026) is set to take place on Wednesday 18 March at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

Organised by Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, FEDIL – The Voice of Luxembourg's Industry and IDEA, in cooperation with PwC Luxembourg, this year’s edition will discuss the topic “Can we save Europe? Is sovereignty the right path? Europe and Luxembourg under pressure.”

According to the organisers, factors such as economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions and rising global competition are putting unprecedented pressure on the European Union (EU) and its Member States.

The discussion will highlight Luxembourg as a focal point for autonomy, resilience and strategic independence, while finding answers of how a small but influential nation can assert its economic strength and maintain global relevance amid the shifting landscape of European integration, noted PwC Luxembourg.

Keynote speakers will include Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Luc Frieden, former Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt and Bruegel Director Jeromin Zettelmeyer. They are expected to explore how Luxembourg can safeguard its economic strength and global influence while charting the course for further European integration.

The event will also feature the participation of other members of the Luxembourg government, including Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, Xavier Bettel, and the Minister of Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, as well as the Director General of the Chamber of Commerce, Carlo Thelen.

The conference will be held in English and will start with a walking lunch from 12:00 to 13:30, followed by speeches and panel discussions until 17:45. A networking cocktail will close the event from 17:45 to 19:00.

The registration fee amounts to €70; the organisers will donate all proceeds to the non-profit organisation UpFoundation.
