Liquidations

A total of 37 companies were wound up during the first quarter of 2026. Winding-ups fell by 26% compared with the first quarter of 2025. Around 24% of the companies liquidated during the period were holding companies and investment funds.

STATEC noted that the data are based on court decisions recorded in the Commercial Register, with the most recent figures dating from Monday 13 April 2026.

The number of bankruptcies is calculated as the sum of "openings" or "reopenings" minus bankruptcies reported in the judicial procedure ("judgments and declarations of bankruptcy"). These figures are provisional.
