On Wednesday 18 June 2025, the British Ambassador to Luxembourg, Joanne Olivier, hosted an evening reception to celebrate the official birthday of King Charles III, held at the British Ambassador's Residence in Luxembourg-Ville.
Ambassador Joanne Olivier welcomed guests, including fellow ambassadors, and expressed her gratitude to all those attending the celebration in honour of King Charles III’s birthday.
In her speech, she made special reference to the Royal Guard and the Irish Guards, noting that the late Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg had once served as a member of the Irish Guards.
Members of the British community in Luxembourg attended the celebration, including Andrew Notter, Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg (BCC), Darren Robinson, President of the British-Luxembourg Society (BLS) and Amy Grech, Chair of the British Ladies Club of Luxembourg (BLC).
