From Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 November 2025, the Brazilian Film Festival will return to Luxembourg for its ninth edition, offering a celebration of Brazilian cinema.

During the festival, the organisers invite the public on a “journey to the heart of Brazil through a prestigious selection of feature films and documentaries, a children’s animated film, as well as masterclasses, a conference and a panel discussion”.

The organisers said this edition of the festival highlights the diversity of perspectives, the inventiveness of Brazilian filmmakers and the artistic depth of a cinema in full flourish, promising emotion, critical reflection and wonder at every screening.

This year’s guest of honour will be filmmaker Marianna Brennand, who was awarded the Women in Motion prize at Cannes this year. Her film Manas will open the festival.
