On Monday 2 March 2026, Luxembourg's LCGB trade union announced the signing of the renewal of the collective agreement with the board of aldermen of the municipality of Beckerich.
The renewed agreement runs from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027.
According to the LCGB, the signing followed an open and constructive social dialogue in which the different perspectives were brought together and a balanced result was achieved in the interest of all parties involved, taking into account both the needs of employees and the municipality’s framework conditions.
The agreement maintains the 36-hour working week and introduces several improvements for the 30 employees, aligned with the collective agreement of the southern municipalities. The municipality will introduce a holiday allowance and a family allowance, increase compensation for on-call duties and extend annual leave entitlement. It will also apply the higher index point value.
