On Tuesday 11 August 2026, Luxembourg's Federation of Hoteliers, Restaurateurs and Café Owners (HORESCA) announced the opening of the application phase for the third edition of the "Dreamjobs Ambassadors" programme.

The application phase forms part of HORESCA's ongoing "Dreamjobs" campaign, which aims to promote HORECA professions and training opportunities in Luxembourg. The federation is looking for committed professionals who are willing to share their passion and inspire young people, as well as adults seeking a new professional perspective, to pursue training or careers in hospitality, restaurants and cafés.

According to HORESCA, eight candidates will be selected and featured throughout the campaign before competing for the title of "Dreamjobs Ambassador" 2026/2027. Applications are open until 7 September 2026. As the faces of their respective professions, they will provide authentic insights into their daily work, share their personal experiences and demonstrate how diverse, creative and forward-looking careers in the HORECA sector can be.

The ambassadors will take part in the campaign for one year, contributing to reports, interviews, social media content and events. They will present their professional backgrounds, know-how and day-to-day work in an effort to promote a modern and realistic image of HORECA professions while encouraging new talent to join the sector. Under the slogan "The jobs where YOU are the star", the campaign places the people behind the professions at its centre.

One of the initiative's main objectives is to encourage young people in their educational and career choices by introducing them to the training opportunities available in Luxembourg. At the same time, the campaign also targets adults considering a career change, further training or entry into the HORECA sector.

"Our professions depend on people with passion. With the 'Dreamjobs Ambassadors', we want to make exactly these personalities visible and show how exciting, diverse and future-oriented our professions are. They should inspire young people as well as adults looking for a new professional perspective and encourage them to discover the many training and career opportunities our sector offers," said Alain Rix, President of HORESCA.

For the 2026 edition, applications are open in five categories: chef, waiter, bartender, barista and concierge. HORESCA noted that the addition of the barista and concierge categories broadens the range of professions represented this year.

The federation also noted that an awareness campaign is already underway on its social media channels. Through a series of short video portraits, young professionals and other figures from Luxembourg's HORECA sector share insights into their daily work, career paths and professional experiences. Participants include Aline Bourscheid, Bruce Cravat, Clémentine Venck, Marc Fusenig and Raphael Betti, who are taking part to promote careers in the sector rather than as candidates.

Following the application deadline, selected candidates will take part in professional photo and video portraits introducing their careers, workplaces and motivation. HORESCA noted that, in addition to evaluation by an expert jury, the public will, for the first time, also be able to vote for their favourite candidates in 2026.

The campaign will conclude with the announcement of the new "Dreamjobs Ambassadors" during Expogast 2026 and the RAK Porcelain Culinary World Cup, taking place at Luxexpo The Box from 21 to 25 November 2026.

Applications can be submitted via the online application form at www.dreamjobs-ambassadors.lu. Applicants must complete the online form and submit a short motivation video.
