On Wednesday 23 September 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced that as part of infrastructure works on Rue Cents traffic arrangements will be adapted from Saturday 26 to Monday 28 September.
The VdL said that as a result of these works, between 06:00 on Saturday and 05:00 on Monday, Rue Cents will be closed to traffic between Allée du Carmel and Rue Op der Heed and Rue Camille Polfer will be closed to all traffic on the section between Rue Cents and Rue Sainte-Thérèse-d'Avila.
The City of Luxembourg’s Traffic Department has said appropriate signage will be put in place.
In addition, the following changes will apply to municipal bus services:
⁃ Routes 7 and 29 will be diverted in both directions via the “Irrgarten” roundabout. The Cents-Waassertuerm, Camille Polfer, Carmel, Trèves, Robert Bruch, Cents-Kierch stops (Route 7), as well as the Cents-Hamm, Halte CFL Quai 3+4 stop, will not be served. They will be replaced by the Cents-Hamm, Halte CFL Quai 1+2 stop
⁃ Towards Cents-Waassertuerm, Route 14 will be diverted from the Gabriel de Marie Quai 1 stop via Rue des Alouettes and the “Irrgarten” roundabout. The Trèves, Carmel, Paul Albrecht and Camille Polfer stops will not be served. They will be replaced by the Trèves Quai 2 stop
⁃ Towards Hamilius, Route 14 will be diverted via the “Irrgarten” roundabout and Rue des Alouettes. The Camille Polfer, Paul Albrecht, Carmel and Trèves stops will not be served. They will be replaced by the Robert Bruch Quai 3 stop
⁃ Route CN1 will be diverted via Rue des Alouettes and the “Irrgarten” roundabout. The Camille Polfer stop will not be served and will be replaced by the Robert Bruch Quai 2 stop
The VdL has stated that in the event of adverse weather conditions, the works will be postponed.
