On Wednesday 25 June 2025, Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy and the Luxembourg Institute of Standardisation, Accreditation, Safety and Quality of Products and Services (ILNAS) announced the launch of the "Stop Drive" safety action in the Grand Duchy.
The Stellantis automotive group has extended its "Stop Drive" campaign, initially launched in France, to other European countries, including Luxembourg. This campaign urges owners of Citroën C3 and DS3 vehicles manufactured between 2009 and 2019 to immediately stop driving their cars due to airbag safety concerns.
A total of 351 Citroën C3 and DS3 vehicles equipped with "Takata" airbags are affected by this NQ3 recall campaign in Luxembourg. The manufacturer has requested that owners of these vehicles cease use until the airbags are replaced.
Vehicle owners will receive an official letter from ILNAS in the coming days with instructions on the next steps.
This follows an initial letter sent in February 2025, which concerned 1,118 vehicles and informed owners of the potential airbag defect while encouraging them to contact an authorised garage for replacement.
The current "Stop Drive" action targets the 351 vehicles whose airbags have not yet been replaced.
