The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced that, due to the next phase of construction of the new tramway section at Kirchberg (K2A), adjustments to traffic and public transport will take effect on Sunday 3 May 2026 and are expected to remain in place until spring 2027.
The traffic adjustments will affect Boulevard Konrad Adenauer. From Sunday at 05:00, traffic will run in one direction from Avenue John F Kennedy (western exit) towards Rue Erasme.
The following changes to the municipal bus network will take effect on Sunday at 04:00.
Lines 6, 16, 18, 21, 86 and 88 towards the city centre will divert via Rue Erasme, Rue Alcide de Gasperi and Rue du Fort Niedergrünewald. The stops Jean Monnet Quai 2 and B.E.I. Quai 2 will close and buses will serve Léon Hengen Quai 2, Niedergrünewald Quai 2 and Philharmonie/MUDAM Quai 2 instead.
For lines 25, 81 and 82 towards Weimerskirch, buses will follow a diversion via Rue Erasme, Rue Alcide de Gasperi and Rue Charles Léon Hammes. The stop Jean Monnet Quai 2 will close, and buses will instead serve Léon Hengen Quai 2 and a temporary stop, Jean Monnet Quai 4, on Rue Charles Léon Hammes.
