Luxembourg’s National Roads Administration has announced roadworks at the Pontpierre interchange on the A4 motorway, including resurfacing works on the N13 road between Pontpierre and Wickrange, from 20:00 on Friday 29 May until around 05:00 on Monday 1 June 2026.

The works form part of the redevelopment of the Pontpierre interchange and have been scheduled over the weekend in order to limit the impact on traffic.

During this period, the N13 national road will be closed to traffic. Diversions will be put in place to maintain traffic flow. Regarding access to the A4 motorway, only the slip road towards Luxembourg will remain open. All other slip roads at the interchange will be closed and diverted.

The following diversions will apply during the works:

• Access to Wickrange from the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette will be redirected via the Foetz interchange, the CR164, CR172 and N13 roads;

• Drivers travelling to Pontpierre from the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette will be diverted via the Foetz interchange, the CR164 and CR169 roads;

• Drivers approaching Pontpierre from the A4 towards Luxembourg will be redirected via the Leudelange-Sud interchange, the N4 and CR169 roads.

The Administration also noted that the Asport and Grand Frais stores will remain accessible via Wickrange/Ehlange, while the GridX shopping centre will remain accessible via Pontpierre.
