VdL Announces Roadworks Will Impact Route d’Esch This Weekend

On Wednesday 20 May 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced that as part of sewer works on Route d’Esch, traffic arrangements will be adapted from Friday 22 to Tuesday 26 May.

The VdL said that as a result of these works Route d’Esch will be closed between the entrance to the P+R Stade de Luxembourg and the junction with the CR179A (Rue Roudebësch) from 22:00 on Friday 22 May to 05:00 on Tuesday 26 May, and the P+R Stade de Luxembourg bus station will be closed to all traffic from 05:00 Sunday 24 May to 08:00 on Monday 25 May.

Additionally, the VdL detailed that the following changes to public transport services during the works should be noted:

⁃ Route 5 will not be able to serve the P+R Stade de Luxembourg stop from 05:00 on Sunday 24 May until 08:00 on Monday 25 May
