On Sunday 18 October 2026, the All Saints Anglican Church of Luxembourg held a special ceremony during its 10:45 family service in which Archdeacon Sam licenced Father Martin Calderbank as Assistant Chaplain.

Until Sunday, Fr Martin had Permission to Officiate (PTO); now, he is licenced as Assistant Chaplain in a part-time, self-supporting post.

According to All Saints Anglican Church, the "Licensing is a recognition of his commitment to All Saints and our appreciation of his ministry among us and in the wider world of finance".

The service at the Konvikt Centre in Luxembourg city centre was followed by a reception in the side chapel.

Talking with Chronicle.lu, Fr Martin said: “It has been a privilege and a joy to be part of the community that is All Saints Anglican Church of Luxembourg, and I am honoured and delighted to be licensed as Assistant Chaplain. Understanding the way God calls each of us to serve him in work, at home and in society is an important part of my ministry, and I look forward to continuing with God’s help to minister here, alongside others in the team.”
