On Wednesday 20 May 2026, non-profit organisation SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde (SOSVEM) presented figures from its Annual Report 2025, highlighting a “significant increase” in results compared to 2024.
SOSVEM held its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 12 May 2026 at the offices of EY Luxembourg in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. During the meeting, members approved the 2025 annual report and the accounts audited by independent auditors Horus Audit & Associés Sàrl.
According to data, the non-profit supported more than 60,000 children, young people and adults worldwide through its projects and programmes in 2025.
President Nathalie Hoffmann-Dondelinger and Managing Director Sophie Glesener thanked the association’s supporters for their continued solidarity during what they described as difficult times. They expressed gratitude to sponsors, donors, public and private partners, volunteers and the association’s testators.
In 2025, SOSVEM raised €13.3 million in public and private funding. This figure included €2.7 million in managed funds from Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, contributions from local authorities and foundations, and €1.5 million from sponsors through 3,725 sponsorships across 103 countries. The total also included donations from private partners and supporters, alongside more than €6.7 million in bequests and legacies.
The association stated that 175 companies, 45 organisations, 28 public institutions and five foundations supported its activities during the year.
According to the report, the SOSVEM funded 27 projects across fifteen countries and territories. These initiatives supported more than 60,000 children, young people and adults, as well as 37,000 additional direct beneficiaries and child protection professionals.
