The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced that it is hosting a new edition of its "Nopeschfest" (neighbourhood party) during the weekend of Friday 24 to Sunday 26 May 2024.
The VdL will be providing benches, tables, rubbish bins and promotional materials for residents who want to organise their own party with their neighbours. In addition, on an ad hoc basis and where possible, the VdL may close certain sections of streets in order to create more space for the organisation of these friendly meetings among neighbours.
People wishing to organise a party at another time (until the weekend of 12-14 July 2024 inclusive) can also receive promotional material.
Promotional material include invites, posters, banners (to be returned afterwards), etc. The VdL special needs department (13 Rue Notre-Dame, L-2240 Luxembourg) will distribute such material from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00, until 14 July 2024. The VdL recalled that anyone wishing to organise a "Nopeschfest" in a public park or schoolyard must submit a request for prior authorisation to the competent services.
