The City of Luxembourg (VdL), in collaboration with Kaizen Parkour Academy Asbl and No Obstacle Asbl, has announced that it will host the first edition of the Luxembourg Chase Thrill on Sunday 11 May 2025 at the former slaughterhouse site in Hollerich (5 rue de l'Abattoir).
The day will begin with parkour workshops open to all levels for young people aged seven years of age and above, starting at 10:00. From 14:00 onwards, several international teams will take part in high-intensity "chase tag" games on an obstacle course requiring a high level of agility, speed and acrobatic movement. Visitors can expect a "dynamic competition" featuring "gripping duels down to the final seconds."
Workshops will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 with no prior registration required, followed by the competition from 14:00 to 18:00. Those wishing to participate in the competition can register via www.lxparkourevents.lu. Entry is free of charge.
The 2025 season at Schluechthaus will focus on "creativity and energy", offering a variety of cultural, sporting and intergenerational activities. These events form part of a broader revitalisation programme prior to renovation work, aimed at testing ideas and suggestions gathered through public participation regarding the site's future use.
