Lovers of the Universe Asbl has announced the return of Rali do Fado e Canções, with the second edition of the event set to take place in the village of Larochette on Saturday 17 May 2025.
Larochette will host fourteen concerts across several cafés and the village’s main square as part of this year’s Fado and Portuguese music event. The performances, taking place in small venues within walking distance of one another, aim to provide a setting for attendees to experience Fado throughout the day.
The musical lineup includes eight Fado ensembles, complemented by elements of Portuguese folk and world music. The programme will culminate in a "grand closing concert" at 22:00, featuring "internationally acclaimed” Fado singer Maria Ana Bobone, according to the organisers.
In addition to the musical performances, the event will include intercultural stands exploring Portuguese heritage, traditional cuisine served in the main square and a photography exhibition by Paulo Lobo.
Entry to all concerts is free of charge. Due to limited seating in the cafés, early arrival is recommended.
A Park & Ride service will operate with shuttle buses running every ten minutes from the Filano parking area (Um Birkelt) to the event site. Route de Mersch will be closed to traffic, with a detour in place. An additional shuttle bus service provided by the municipality will serve local residents from Ernzen directly to the venue.
