On Tuesday 21 April 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced that the Cessange Fair (Zéissenger Kiermes) will take place from Friday 24 to Tuesday 28 April 2026 at Place de Roedgen in Cessange.
According to the VdL, visitors will have the opportunity to discover various attractions, including a duck fishing game, an “aeroplane” ride, dodgems, as well as three fairground food stalls offering a selection of savoury and sweet treats for all tastes. Each day, the first 50 rides (aeroplanes and dodgems) will be offered by the City on a “first come, first served” basis.
In addition, a varied programme of artistic performances and entertainment awaits visitors:
Saturday 25 April
• 13:00 to 14:00: Hämmelsmarsch and concert aperitif by the Harmonie Municipale Hollerich, Luxembourg-Gare, Cessange;
• 14:00 to 18:00: workshop by Les p'tits grimages de Marianne;
• 15:00 to 16:00: show for the whole family by Benito & Partners;
• 18:00 to 20:00: musical entertainment by DJ Tun.
Sunday 26 April
• 14:00 to 18:00: workshop by Les p'tits grimages de Marianne;
• 15:00 to 15:45: show for the whole family by Clown'skinski.
The VdL remarked: “Today, funfairs represent a fundamental element of our traditions, our culture and our intangible cultural heritage. In addition, they are places of conviviality, social interaction and meeting, where young and old, new and long-standing residents, can come together in a relaxed atmosphere.”
