Luxair has reported that one of its recent flights to Djerba, Tunisia was unable to land due to adverse weather conditions caused by a sandstorm.

The airline clarified that flight LG933, operated on Saturday 31 January 2026, from Luxembourg to Djerba was diverted to Enfidha (Tunisia), where it landed safely and refuelled before returning.

Luxair confirmed that there were 173 passengers on board, who were kept informed by the captain and cabin crew.

The airline said that an additional flight was organised for Sunday 1 February to bring the passengers to their original destination of Djerba.

Luxair said: “While every effort is made to operate flights as planned, safety remains the airline’s highest priority, and operations may occasionally be impacted by unforeseen weather conditions.”
