Luxair has reported that its flight LG372 from Sal, Cape Verde, to Luxembourg on Monday 9 February 2026, was diverted to Madrid as a precautionary measure, due to a crack detected during the flight on the cockpit’s windshield.
According to the airline, the Luxair Boeing 737-700 landed safely without any further issues. Passengers were kept informed by the captain and crew and flight safety was ensured at all times.
Luxair said they will take care of the affected customers at the airport and a replacement flight will be organised for Tuesday 10 February.
The airline apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their understanding, stressing that the safety of passengers and crew remains the airline's "top priority".
