On Sunday 15 February 2026, Luxair announced that heavy snowfall had forced a runway closure at Luxembourg Airport.
The closure lasted more than two hours and, combined with curfew restrictions, caused several disrupted Luxair rotations and multiple flight cancellations.
Luxair cancelled the following seven rotations:
-
Luxembourg – Charles de Gaulle (LG8021 - LG8022);
-
Luxembourg – Nice (LG8257 - LG8258);
-
Luxembourg – Berlin (LG9473 - LG9474);
-
Luxembourg – London City (LG4597 - LG4598);
-
Luxembourg – Hamburg (LG9513 - LG9514);
-
Luxembourg – Vienna (LG8857 - LG8858);
-
Luxembourg – Milano Linate (LG6495 - LG6496).
Luxair said it had informed affected passengers and its teams continued to assist customers by offering rebooking solutions and support.
The airline apologised for the inconvenience and thanked passengers for their understanding, while noting that adverse weather conditions may occasionally disrupt operations, despite efforts to maintain regular services.
