On Monday 2 November 2026, Enovos reported on the fifteenth edition of the Enovos Foundation Excellence Award, which took place at the Coque in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Friday 30 October.
The ceremony, organised by the Enovos Foundation, under the auspices of the Fondation de Luxembourg, in partnership with the Association of Engineers and Scientists of Luxembourg (IngSci) and the National Association of Luxembourg Engineering Students (ANEIL), was held in the presence of Stéphanie Obertin, Luxembourg’s Minister of Research and Higher Education, with the 2026 award winners recognised for the quality of their work, which they also presented to the public.
Enovos said the collaboration between the business community and representatives of the academic and voluntary sectors demonstrates a shared commitment to recognising young talent and strengthening links between academia and engineering professionals.
A common goal: supporting the talent of tomorrow
Since its creation in 2012, the Excellence Award has pursued the same ambition: to recognise the work of young engineers and encourage those who are developing solutions for tomorrow today.
For this fifteenth edition, six winners were recognised for the quality of their Master's projects, following a selection process conducted by a jury comprising professionals and experts.
Since 2025, the ceremony has gone beyond simply recognising academic excellence, also inviting award winners to present their work to the public.
Each participant was given five minutes to introduce their subject, explain their approach and share the main findings of their Master's project.
The objective is to make sometimes complex subjects accessible while highlighting an essential skill for engineers: the ability to communicate an idea, defend it and explain its impact beyond their own field of expertise.
Audience participation
The attendees also became involved in the ceremony by voting for the public's “Favourite Award” (“Coup de Cœur”).
This year, Loïc Nenno received the award for his presentation on the following subject: Electrification and Flexibility in Luxembourg in 2040: Impacts on Electricity Demand, Peak Load and Grid Stress.
