Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Cooperation Asbl has announced that it will be celebrating the Nauryz – Spring equinox on Saturday 30 March 2024 from 17:00 with a “Welcome Spring” celebration at the Hotel Parc Belle Vue in Luxembourg city (5 Avenue Marie-Thérèse), in the Salle Petruss.
This appreciation of nature, its cycles and celebration of life is celebrated by Kazakhs on 22 March; however, it is not associated nationally or ethnicity, nor is it linked to any historical data. Nauryz is common for many ethnicities now living in Luxembourg and has become a uniting festivity for all.
This year, the celebration will involve the "Turkic Youth Ensemble" from Budapest (Hungary), with those attending enjoying Kazakh music as well as Kyrgyz, Turkish, Azerbaijan, Hungarian and tunes of other nations, and who can also taste Kazakh and Central Asian dishes including Nauryz Kozhe which is prepared just once a year.
It will also include a Kazakh ceremony dedicated to child growth.
