The annual "Veiner Nëssmoort" (Vianden Nut Market) will take place on Sunday 11 October 2026.
Held every year on the second Sunday in October, the nut market attracts thousands of visitors. According to the Veiner Nëssmoort association, Vianden was once considered Luxembourg's "secret nut capital": in 1902, about 20% of all nuts in the country came from the town.
The first nut market took place in Vianden in 1935 to sell excess nuts. Since then, the market has grown into a well-known folk festival. Today, the event features nut-based products, regional food and a variety of local goods.
