Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) will host the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) Sustainability Conference 2026, which will take place on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 June 2026 at Cercle Cité in Luxembourg-Ville.

The event will bring together senior leaders from exchanges, regulators, policymakers, investors and issuers to discuss the role of capital markets in supporting the sustainability transition. 

Taking place as part of the Luxembourg International Climate Finance Days and under the auspices of Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, the two-day conference will feature discussions on transition finance, sustainability reporting, carbon markets and global sustainability frameworks. 

The first day of the conference, running from 09:30 to 16:00, will focus on global markets, nature and transition finance, covering topics such as financing the sustainability transition, regional sustainability policies, sustainability reporting and nature-positive capital markets. Speakers on the first day will include Julie Becker, CEO of the LuxSE, Jennifer de Nijs from Luxembourg’s Ministry of Finance and Shiva Dustdar from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The conference’s second day, taking place from 09:30 to 16:35, will centre around frameworks, assurance and market architecture, with discussions covering sustainability assurance standards, transition finance, biodiversity and social finance, climate risk pricing, global sustainability frameworks and developments in carbon markets. Among the Luxembourg-based speakers featured on the programme will be Laetitia Hamon of the LuxSE and Shaneera Rasqué of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
