
On Monday 5 May 2025, Luxembourg's Minister of Finance, Gilles Roth, travelled to Milan, Italy to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Annual Meeting, centred around the theme of "Sharing Experience, Building Tomorrow", provided an opportunity for the Governors of the 69 ADB members to discuss development issues and challenges facing Asia and the Pacific.
As reported by Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance, Minister Roth signed an agreement for a new contribution of €2.5 million to the Financial Sector Development Partnership Special Fund (FSDPSF).
On the sidelines of the meeting, the minister also held a "productive" bilateral exchange with ADB President Masato Kanda.
Minister Roth stated: "Luxembourg's unwavering partnership with the Asian Development Bank underscores our commitment to financial inclusion, innovation and multilateral cooperation. In this way, we aim to promote resilient, sustainable and inclusive societies and economies. With the agreement signed today, Luxembourg is once again strengthening this partnership."
