
On Monday 20 October 2025, the Maison du Grand-Duc announced that the new Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg will undertake a series of courtesy visits to neighbouring countries of the Grand Duchy, as well as to the BeNeLux partners (Belgium and the Netherlands).
The Grand Ducal couple will be accompanied by Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel.
According to the Maison du Grand-Duc, these visits “aim to strengthen the historical, political and cultural ties that unite Luxembourg with its immediate neighbours, in a spirit of mutual respect and enhanced cooperation”.
Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie will undertake their first official visit abroad on Friday 24 October 2025, in Brussels, Belgium, where they will be officially received by the King and Queen of the Belgians.
On Monday 27 October 2025, the Grand Ducal couple will travel to Berlin, where they will be received at Bellevue Palace by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany and his wife.
