Oil and oil pastel on canvas "Three Chairs", 2025, 164cm x 197cm by Luan Lamberty;

On Friday 20 March 2026, Rainbow Center Luxembourg will hold the opening of a new exhibition titled “Gathering” by contemporary artist, Luan Lamberty, at 18:30 in Luxembourg-Ville.

The exhibition will feature eighteen of his works, showcasing figures in domestic interiors, interacting, communicating or absorbed in mundane activities. The cultural centre noted that the gestures suggest such themes as intimacy, distance, vulnerability and support, with the artist exploring the subtle dynamics of presence, absence and shared space.

Luxembourgish artist, Luan Lamberty, has described “Gathering”, as not only about people coming together but “sharing space, holding attention, waiting, remaining with one another. Sometimes in closeness, sometimes in distance”.

Chairs, tables, plants, shadows, and everyday objects act as quiet participants. An empty chair, a plant whose shadow dances into another form or a nearly transparent body: these elements create spaces where presence and absence blur, and what is missing becomes as important as what is shown. Attention, vulnerability and support are sensed rather than explained,” he continued.

According to the Rainbow Center Luxembourg, this exhibition invites viewers “to pause, to step in and to complete the scenes through their own perceptions”.

The artists practice investigates the emotional and political layers embedded in ordinary scenes, often highlighting moments of quiet tension, ambiguity and connection, noted the cultural centre.
