A motorcyclist was killed midday yesterday on a road in Mertert after losing control of her bike and swerving into a ditch.

The 47-year-old lady from Luxembourg hit against a metal post and sustained serious injuries. Emergency services were unable to resuscitate her and she died at the scene.
