The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they detained several people in the name of public safety.
On Friday 5 September 2025, around 22:30, police were called to the Schueberfouer about an intoxicated man who was harassing passersby. Officers located the man at the scene. Given his condition and the disturbance he was causing to public order, he was taken into custody after a medical examination.
During the night from Friday 5 to Saturday 6 September 2025, a police patrol encountered a man lying on the ground near Rue Joseph Junck in the capital's train station district (Luxembourg-Gare). When checked, it turned out he was heavily intoxicated. He was also uncooperative with the officers. Due to his condition and the danger he posed to himself and others, he too was taken into custody after a medical examination.
