The Grand Ducal Police have reported two separate arrests made on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 September 2025 in Luxembourg City.

According to the police, during the night of Sunday 7 September 2025, officers were called to a café in the Rives de Clausen in Luxembourg City following a reported incident. At the scene, they encountered a man who refused to leave the premises. When asked to accompany the officers, he dropped a tissue containing six cocaine balls.

The man was taken to the police station, where further investigations revealed that he regularly stayed with an acquaintance and stored drugs at the residence. A subsequent house search uncovered additional drugs, cash, drug paraphernalia, medication, as well as mobile phones and an iPad. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, both individuals were arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Sunday afternoon.

In a separate incident, in the early hours of Monday 8 September 2025 at around 01:30, police received a report of a necklace theft on Avenue de la Faïencerie in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg. Four perpetrators reportedly stole a necklace from a victim, who managed to retrieve the stolen item before the suspects fled.

Three of the suspects were later apprehended during a police search and taken to the station for identification. One suspect was found to be in possession of two additional necklaces, which were confiscated. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, this individual was arrested and will appear before an investigating judge on Monday afternoon.
