The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was stabbed in Esch-sur-Alzette over the weekend; the suspected attacker has been arrested.
On Saturday 13 September 2025, at around 01:30, the police received a report of an injured person on Avenue de la Gare in Esch-sur-Alzette. Officers arriving at the scene found a man with three stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
According to initial information, an altercation broke out between two individuals in a local bar, during which one person attacked the other with a knife.
The suspect was apprehended by police shortly afterwards. He was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and brought before the investigating judge later that same day.
