
The Grand Ducal Police have reported several recent burglaries and thefts from vehicles in Luxembourg.
On the afternoon of Wednesday 17 September 2025, unknown perpetrators broke into a single-family home on Rue de Mensdorf in Übersyren. According to initial information from the police, the perpetrators, who remain unidentified, gained access through the terrace door and searched all rooms of the house.
Later that evening, another burglary was reported in Filsdorf, on Am Schneider, where intruders reportedly searched a single-family home and stole items including jewellery. Investigations have been launched in both cases.
In addition, several thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles were reported. On the evening of 17 September 2025, unknown perpetrators entered a vehicle parked on Op Zaemer in Bascharage. According to initial information from the police, the perpetrators searched the car and stole, among other things, an Apple Watch.
At around 04:00 on Thursday 18 September 2025, police were notified of a man trying vehicle door handles on Rue de Holtz in Rambrouch. He entered an unlocked vehicle but fled after being disturbed by a resident. A police search proved unsuccessful. Investigations are ongoing.
