The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they made multiple arrests on Monday 22 September 2025, for a variety of offences.

At approximately 10:20 on Monday morning, a police patrol stopped a man in the Luxembourg-Gare area who upon noticing the officers attempted to flee and threw an object towards the railway tracks. Officers subsequently recovered a small quantity of drugs from the tracks. At the instruction of the public prosecutor’s office, both the drugs and the suspect’s cash were seized and a report of the incident was filed.

On Monday afternoon, a shoplifting incident was reported at a store in the Cloche d’Or shopping district in Luxembourg-Gasperich. According to initial information, several perfumes were among the items stolen. During the investigation, two suspects were located and taken to the police station for further questioning. Various stolen goods were found in their possession. The items were returned to the respective shops and a report was filed.

At approximately 23:00 on Monday evening, police received a report of a heavily intoxicated man at Rodange station who was allegedly threatening passers-by with a knife. A police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene. As the man, due to his condition and aggressive state, posed a danger to himself and others, he was placed in protective custody following a medical examination. The knife was secured and seized and a report was filed.
