On Thursday 5 February 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported the arrest of two suspected perpetrators in connection with a series of thefts.
According to the initial information, the arrests relate to two luxury watch thefts which took place on Monday 19 January 2026 at two fitness centres in Bertrange and Junglinster. Extensive investigations by the Judicial Police’s Major Crime Unit led to the identification of the vehicle used by the two suspected perpetrators.
During the investigations, carried out in close cooperation with the Dutch police authorities, the vehicle was located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The two suspects were subsequently located and arrested following the immediate deployment of Dutch police units. One of the stolen watches was seized and the arrests were carried out on the orders of the Dutch public prosecutor’s office. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
