The Maison du Grand-Duc has announced that Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg will celebrate her 42nd birthday on Wednesday 18 February 2026.
Grand Duchess Stéphanie, Duchess of Nassau, was born in Renaix in Belgium on 18 February 1984. She is the youngest of eight children born to Count Philippe de Lannoy, who died in 2019, and Countess Alix de Lannoy (née della Faille de Leverghem), who died in 2012. She grew up on the family estate in Anvaing, Belgium.
Then-Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy married Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg City on 20 October 2012, assuming the title of Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. The couple have two sons: Prince Charles, born in 2020, and Prince François, born in 2023.
This birthday marks her first celebration since formally becoming Grand Duchess of Luxembourg following her husband’s ascension to the throne on 3 October 2025..
