The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on Monday 23 February 2026, officers conducted a traffic check in Mamer, which focused on the use of mobile phones while driving and the correct wearing of seat belts.

According to the police, the checks took place from 07:15 to 08:50 on Route d’Arlon in Mamer and 21 drivers were issued fines for using their mobile phones while driving (€250 and 4 points).

Additionally, two drivers received fines due to the expiry of the technical inspection of their vehicles (€145 and 2 points).
