The Grand Ducal Police reported on Tuesday 24 March 2026, that as part of the joint FRABELUX presidency of the European network for locating wanted persons (ENFAST), the first official meeting of the ‘Core Group’ was held in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg from Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 March 2026.
The meeting was organised by the Fugitive Search Section (FAST Luxembourg), a founding member of the ENFAST European network since 2010 and was officially inaugurated in the presence of Kristin Schmit, Central Director of the Luxembourg Judicial Police (Service de police judiciaire - SPJ).
According to the Grand Ducal Police, in early January 2026, the FRABELUX presidency took up its duties for a period of two years. In addition to the countries which form the presidency – France, Belgium and Luxembourg – seven other countries/institutions are part of the core group: the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, Slovenia and Europol.
Each year, approximately 400 wanted persons are located and arrested through the ENFAST network.
