On Thursday 26 March 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) layed the foundation stone for its future administrative building “The Bridge” in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie.
Located at 10 Rue Aristides de Sousa Mendes, the building forms part of the “Dernier Sol” detailed development plan (PAP) area, which aims to redevelop this area near Route de Thionville district.
According to the VdL, it acquired the site through a forward sale agreement (VEFA) signed in May 2025 with developer Brooklyn by Eaglestone, an entity of the Eaglestone group, which became the owner of the land in August 2021.
Located a few minutes’ walk from Luxembourg central station, the project represents a new generation of office buildings, combining environmental performance, occupant comfort and flexible workspace design, noted the VdL.
Designed primarily for administrative, service and commercial use, the new administrative building will host a police station on the ground and first floors, as well as part of the basement levels, while the City’s social office will occupy the upper floors. A local shop is also planned on the ground floor.
Designed by M3 Architectes, the project is positioned as a next-generation office building combining environmental performance, occupant comfort and flexible workspace design. It aims to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification and carbon-neutral status through measures including emissions reduction and local reforestation initiatives.
The building will comprise six floors above ground and two underground levels, with a total surface area of approximately 4,364 m².
Construction began in September 2025, with completion expected by mid-2028.
