The Grand Ducal Police has reported several recent cases of burglaries across Luxembourg.

In the early afternoon of Tuesday 31 March 2026, unknown perpetrators broke into an apartment in a multi-family building on Rue Principale in Sandweiler. According to initial findings, the suspects forced open the entrance door of the residential building as well as the apartment door, searched the premises for valuables and stole cash.

Shortly afterwards, another burglary was reported in an apartment in a multi-family building on Rue Nicolas Welter in Mersch. According to initial information, unknown perpetrators gained access to the apartment, searched it and stole several items, including cash.

Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
