The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was arrested on Friday 10 April 2026, following a mugging incident in Ettelbruck.
According to initial information, at around 15:45 on Friday, police were informed of a theft on Grand-Rue in Ettelbruck. The victim had their wallet snatched from their hand by an offender, who then fled the scene. However, a passer-by managed to prevent his escape.
A police patrol immediately went to the scene and was able to locate the suspected offender.
On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he was arrested and brought before an investigating judge, who issued a warrant for his detention.
