On Thursday 5 November 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported the arrest of a shoplifting suspect in Luxembourg-Kirchberg and a theft from a delivery vehicle in Bech-Kleinmacher earlier this week.
At approximately 14:00 on Monday 2 November 2026, police received a report of shoplifting at a store on Rue Alphonse Weicker in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. A man had allegedly attempted to steal several perfume bottles worth almost €700 but was intercepted by a security guard as he left the shop.
Officers recovered the stolen goods and returned them to the store. Further checks revealed that the suspect could be linked to other shoplifting incidents. On the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office, police arrested the man and brought him before an investigating judge.
Another theft was reported on Wednesday 4 November 2026 on Naumbergerwee in Bech-Kleinmacher. Two employees had left their delivery vehicle while making a delivery and returned to discover that someone had searched a backpack inside, stealing two mobile phones and an identity document.
Police filed a report and investigations remain ongoing. Officers reminded motorists to lock their vehicles even during brief absences and avoid leaving valuables unattended or visible inside.
