LCGB, Ville d’Echternach Signs New Collective Agreement

On Friday 15 May 2026, Luxembourg trade union LCGB announced that it had signed a new collective agreement with the mayor and aldermen of the Ville d’Echternach covering 75 municipal employees.

The agreement introduces several financial and qualitative improvements to working conditions. These include increased bonuses for strenuous work such as snow clearing and cemetery maintenance, a higher bonus for the foreman and deputy foremen, and the introduction of a working time savings account (CET).

According to the LCGB, the new collective agreement entered into force on 1 September 2025 and will remain valid until 31 August 2028.
