The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they detained an intoxicated man who repeatedly caused disturbances in Echternach on Sunday 31 May 2026.
At around midday, a police patrol was informed about a man who had left a restaurant without paying his bill. Officers later located him at another establishment and instructed him to settle the outstanding payment, which he eventually did.
A short time later, police received another report concerning the same individual after he returned to the first establishment and began verbally harassing other customers. When officers attended the scene again, the man reportedly behaved uncooperatively and insulted them.
Due to his state of intoxication and because he was disturbing public order, the man was taken into custody following a medical examination.
