The Grand Ducal Police has reported four incidents resulting in arrests or custody on Friday 12 June 2026, including two separate stabbing cases and two interventions involving heavily intoxicated individuals.
At around 17:30, police were informed that a person had been injured in a stabbing incident on Rue Dr Herr in Ettelbruck. Officers apprehended the suspected perpetrator in a nearby street shortly after the incident. The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. Following instructions from the Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect was arrested and transferred to the Uerschterhaff Prison Centre. He is due to appear before an investigating judge on the afternoon of Saturday 13 June 2026.
Earlier that afternoon, police were called to a domestic dispute in Bilsdorf, during which a person was injured with a knife by their partner. The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. The Public Prosecutor's Office ordered the arrest of the suspected perpetrator, who was also transferred to the Uerschterhaff Prison Centre and is due to appear before an investigating judge on Saturday morning.
Police also intervened in two separate incidents involving heavily intoxicated individuals. At around 19:00, officers were called to a petrol station in Gasperich, where an intoxicated person was reportedly causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, police determined that the individual had stolen a bottle of alcohol and was behaving increasingly aggressively. As the person posed a danger to themselves and others, police placed them in custody following a medical examination.
Later that evening, at around 22:00, police received reports of a person obstructing traffic on Rue Adolphe Fischer in Luxembourg-Gare district. Officers found the individual visibly impaired by alcohol and having difficulty walking. Following a medical examination, the person was also taken into custody as they were considered a danger to themselves and others.
