The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was detained following a road traffic accident in Dudelange on Monday 15 June 2026, which involved an intoxicated e-scooter rider who was uncooperative with officers.
According to the police, at approximately 22:40 on the evening of Monday 15 June the police received a report of a road traffic accident on Route de Luxembourg in Dudelange involving an e-scooter rider who had fallen and may have sustained injuries.
A police patrol attended the scene and located the man, who was visibly intoxicated. However, he refused to be taken to hospital for a medical examination. He also refused to undergo an alcohol test, whereupon a provisional driving ban was issued.
On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the e-scooter was seized and a report was prepared.
During the police intervention, the man was uncooperative towards the officers and was subsequently taken into custody following a medical examination in order to sober up.
