Luxembourg's Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) and the Grand Ducal Police have reported two separate incidents in which four people were injured between Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August 2026.
On Wednesday at around 20:09, according to the CGDIS, three people were injured in a collision involving two cars on the RN27A between Erpeldange-sur-Sûre and Fridhaff. Emergency services from Nordstad and Ingeldorf attended the scene, together with ambulances from Nordstad and Clervaux.
In a separate incident, the police reported that a man was injured in Esch-sur-Alzette at around 05:00 on Thursday morning.
Officers were alerted to a person lying on the ground on Boulevard Prince Henri with a large bleeding wound to his foot. According to initial information, the man had attempted to gain access to an unoccupied building by breaking a glass window and sustained a cut to his left foot in the process.
The man reportedly lost a significant amount of blood and was taken to hospital for treatment. According to initial information, his life was not in danger.
Several police units subsequently checked the building and found five other people. Immigration reports were drawn up and identity checks carried out in all five cases. One person also underwent identification procedures. Police seized a mobile phone and drew up a report for theft.
